UGSRC EC TO HOLD ELECTION ONLINE


On Friday, June 12,2020, the University of Ghana Students' Representative Council's General Assembly approved the Electoral Commission Constitutional Instrument(C.I ).
Persuant to article 31,clause 4 and article 38 clause 1 of the Constitution of the Students Representative Council of the University of Ghana,the Constitutional Instrument of the Electoral Commission shall be the legal document for the purposes of regulating, governing and conducting the business of the 2020 SRC elections in the second semester for the 2020/2021 academic year.

According to the Electoral Commission's electionary Calendar for this semester, Voting is to be held online on Wednesday, July 01,2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.


Kendavenewsroom was served with the official nomination statement issued by the Chairperson,Miss Sharon Pinsung Dokurugu with her two deputy EC's yesterday,June 16,2020 and it states,

🔘Pursuant to Article 36, of the SRC Constitution, the Office of UGSRC Electoral Commission, has opened nominations for applications by all prospective applicant who wishes to hold office as Executive Officers for the 2020/2021 academic year.

🔘Persons who desire to become SRC Executive Officers must satisfy the requirements in Articles 29 and 30 of the SRC Constitution. Persons interested should contact the Electoral Commissioners for their nomination forms via ugsrcelectoralcommission@gmail.com or telephone numbers of the Electoral Commissioners below.

🔘 Additionally, all such persons must submit their  completed nomination forms to via ugsrcelectoralcommission@gmail.com accordingly.

🔘Opening of Nominations for application of the executive officers starts on 16th June, 2020 - 21st June, 2020. All applications must be submitted before  11:55pm on Sunday, 21st June 2020.
