But in every multi-party democracy, individual aspirations must always be in sync with their ideological party identity, the very platform on which those individuals would want to stand and advance their political growth  The NDC as a political party must not become just a tool for party executives in actualizing just their dreams, rather, party executives must remain religious to their contracts and promises upon which they were elected to serve. Barely few weeks ago, Ruth Seddoh told the over one thousand party delegates drawn from the 275 constituencies across the country that they should elect her as a deputy national youth organizer of the party, in order to work for the party and deliver the youth votes  Ten (10) candidates were standing up f

UG-TESCON appoints interim Executives

                                                                                                                            Story by:Kengel Yeboah

APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM TESCON EXECUTIVES, UNIVERSITY OF GHANA.

The National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in consultation with the Greater Accra Regional Youth Wing, the Patrons and all stakeholders have appointed INTERIM Executives to steer the affairs of TESCON - University of Ghana Chapter.

These isolated but necessary appointments have been prudently and fairly done in response to a very dicey situation peculiar to University of Ghana.

As part of measures to enforce compliance to the COVID-19 preventive etiquettes including social distancing, authorities of University of Ghana, since January 2021, have been running the school with a “Double Track System” where by two streams are required to be on campus and the other two streams at home at a given time.

This development makes it impossible for elections to be held since over half of the entire TESCON membership who will be at home should elections be held, will be disenfranchised.

It is on this premise that the following patriots have been appointed to the corresponding portfolios on interim basis:

1. Gyasi Eduam  - President

2. Janet Stephanie Rhule - Vice President

3. Thomas Boakye.  - Secretary

4. Bright Agyapong - Organizer

5. Vanessa Bassah. - Deputy Secretary

6. Comfort Owusuaa -Treasurer

7. Agyenim Boateng - Communications Officer

8. Ekua Brown  - Women's Commissioner

9. Aikins Opoku - Research Officer

10. Lukeman Maamah - Nasara Coordinator

11. Michael Somuah - Deputy Organizer

UG-TESCON EXECUTIVES

The Interim Executives shall be in office until such a time normalcy in academic activities will be restored to permit fair and transparent elections. However, the National Youth wing in consultation with the relevant stakeholders shall take steps to get replacement should any of the interim executives graduate or go AWOL or become incapacitated before normalcy is restored.

The NATIONAL Youth wing congratulates the newly appointed interim executives and wishes them the very best.

The National Youth wing thus encourages all and sundry to support the interim Executives and help build a more vibrant and strong TESCON that would be attractive to the entire student population on the campus of University of Ghana

Commitment! Without Inducement!!

This was released by Mr.Samuel Annobil Baidoo,National TESCON Coordinator
