The Hult Prize experience and social entrepreneurship

The University of Ghana Hult Prize On-campus organising team led by Mr Samuel Akpabli, the 2021/2022 campus director, is set to embark on a transformative drive in the University community to groom team's of young, vibrant and energetic social entrepreneurs to compete for ideas that solve developmental issues bedevilling humanity. 

This movement (The Hult Prize) in conjunction with the United Nations Office of Partnership transforms how young people envision their possibilities as leaders of change in the world around them with a US$1,000,000 global start-up prize as its anchor activity.

In anticipation of the On-campus competition for the 2022 Hult Prize challenge, the organising team is embarking on its first impact session on 10th September 2021 dubbed, *' The Hult Prize Experience and Social Entrepreneurship'*, where the various speakers will reorient students perceptions about academia and show them how to leverage on Hult Prize Foundation to envision their possibilities through social entrepreneurship. 

 Speakers for this virtual session include; Mr Gilles Ametepe, Senior partner, policy and institutional relations- Ghana for Startups and Hult Prize 2019 alumnus, Boston Regional Finalist.

Miss Nana Akua Afriyie Busia, 2019 Hult Prize regional winner in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for which her team from the University of Ghana beat 61 others to the Accelerator, 2019 Ashbride castle.

Also on the list of speakers is the executive director, Worship's Aid foundation. A social enterprise that primarily seeks to help society undertake its needed reforms to create the required growth and development. Undertake needed reforms to create the required societal growth for the weak and vulnerable and more to their flagship program, waste management and advancing recycling to reduce waste and create employment.
